November/December 2014
With 2014 nearing an end, we look back and acknowledge that it has been yet another fruitful year for Skills Development.

Fasset was recognized at the CSSA/JSE annual integrated awards and received the award in the public sector category. This is a great achievement and we would like to thank all our stakeholders for the continued support on this journey.

We wish you the very best over the holiday period and look forward to working with you again in 2015.

Emotional Intelligence, Personal Growth and Self-Esteem Workshop

Fasset's full day workshop on Emotional Intelligence and Personal Growth was held countrywide in November. It is accepted that an organisation cannot grow and flourish without a systemic understanding of the system and its environment, solid strategic leadership, and day-to-day management. It is also true that individuals will not achieve their full potential in terms of results, impact, influence and fulfilment without active leadership and management of their own lives. The material distributed at this event will be available for download shortly.
5
LL calendar of events

Check the updated Fasset Events Calendar to plan your workshop and seminar attendance in 2015.
6
Internship Accreditation

Fasset no longer accredits internships. The purpose of the internship accreditation was to allow organisations to align their practices to the requirements of the Learning Programme Matrix (LPM). The most recent changes to the LPM define internships as, "institution-based theoretical instruction as well as some practical learning with an employer or in a simulated work environment - formally assessed through the institution". As Fasset's internship accreditation process does not fulfil these requirements, it has been discontinued. Internship accreditation applications that were received by 31 October 2014 will be evaluated.
7
Fasset Incentives and Benefits 2015/2016

A workshop on the Fasset incentives and benefits was recently held in three provinces. The material distributed at this event will be available for download shortly.
