At Fasset we are as busy as always, finalising year-end targets while at the same time, gearing up for the start of a new financial year.

We'd like to take this opportunity to welcome our new Brand Ambassador team and look forward to working with them in 2015/2016 through our career awareness programme.

Mandatory Grant Reminder




Employers and government departments are reminded that the Mandatory Grant deadline is 30 April 2015. Large and medium employers as well as government departments will only be able to submit their grants online. Small employers can elect to submit their mandatory grant in hardcopy or through the online process. Click here to view the Mandatory Grant Guidelines and Manuals.

Fasset Update Event for SDFs



Fasset is hosting the 2015/2016 incentives and strategy update in April 2015 . In particular, the event will include details on the Mandatory Grant, which is due 30 April 2015. Click here to register your attendance.

Influencing and Negotiating Skills



Click here to register for the Influencing and Negotiating Skills Workshop which will be run in April 2015. This workshop defines negotiating and influence; and will focus on the basic types and phases of negotiating, as well as the skills you need to become an effective negotiator.

Update on Provider Requirements

The Processing and Quality Assurance (PQA) Department is implementing a few new processes. These new processes should allow for a quicker response to queries. Providers are reminded that there are specific templates for the uploads and they are requested to contact Nomadlozi Buthelezi (Nomadlozi.buthelezi@fasset.org.za) should they require the templates or further information.

Learnerships

Fasset will now accept email copies of learnership agreements. In order for a learnership agreement to be registered, the completed, signed agreement and all the required supporting documentation must be attached and emailed to: learnership.agreements@fasset.org.za. The learnership agreements remain available on our website.

Budget & Tax Update 2015



The Budget & Tax Update seminar was held nationally in March 2015. Final material including 2015/ 2016 Tax Guides from the seminar and a self-assessment will be available for download on the Fasset website in April 2015.

QCTO re-registers qualifications for an additional three year period

The qualifications registered on the Occupational Qualification Sub-framework (OQSF) are due to expire on 30 June 2015. Confirmation has been received from the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) that all active qualifications will be re-registered for an additional three year period with a two year teach-out period. A total of 143 inactive qualifications will be deregistered, 4 of which fall within Fasset's scope of quality assurance. The remaining 37 qualifications within Fasset's scope of quality assurance will be re-registered. Follow the links below to view the communication:

Office Etiquette



Office Etiquette workshop was held in February 2015 across a number of venues in South Africa. Attendees were trained to understand the importance and skills for professional office behaviour. The final material from the workshop is available for download from the Fasset website.

Fasset Tender Bulletin

Fasset procures a number and variety of services in the course of achieving its objectives. All procurement at the relevant threshold according to supply chain regulations is advertised on our website and we advise prospective service providers to regularly check the Tender Bulletin section for new information relating to Fasset's service requirements.
