Now that the first quarter of 2013 is over, we trust that you are all looking forward to the undoubtedly well-deserved Easter break!

At Fasset, we are as busy as always, finalising year-end targets while at the same time, gearing up for the start of a new financial year.

Please remember that the deadline for the Mandatory Grant has changed and the application is now due on 30 April 2014 just one month to go.

Discretionary Grant Assessment Underway

After the Discretionary deadline on the 15 February 2014 for the financial year 2013/14, Fasset is currently assessing the following grants:
  • Assessor and Moderator Grant
  • Learnership Cash Grant
  • NSFAS Loan Repayment Grant
  • Pivotal Grant
Fasset discretionary grants for 2014/2015 are open for application from 1 April 2014. Click here to download the forms.

The Pivotal Grant 2014/2015 application form will be made available shortly.

Mandatory Grant Form 2014/2015

The Mandatory Grant deadline for submission has changed from 30 June to 30 April 2014; please click here for more information. To download the application form, please visit the Fasset Document Library. Firms employing more than 50 people must capture and submit their grant application on Fasset's online system.

Whole Firm Accreditation

As of 31 March 2014, Fasset will be terminating its Whole Firm Accreditation process. Any organisations that have received this accreditation will retain it until their expiry date. No new accreditations under this category will be accepted.

Financial Markets and Tax Qualifications

Finally, the Occupational Certificate: Financial Markets Practitioner (registration number 93603) and the Occupation Certificate: Tax Professional (registration number 93624) have been registered with SAQA. Fasset can now being working on the learnerships for these two qualifications.

Learnership Agreements

There has been a slight change to the learnership agreement registration process. In addition to the original, Fasset now requires two full sets of copies. Changes to the learnership agreement have been made and can be found on the website.

Fasset Tender Bulletin

Fasset procures a number and variety of services in the course of achieving its objectives. All procurement at the relevant threshold according to supply chain regulations is advertised on our website and we advise prospective service providers to regularly check the Tender Bulletin section for new information relating to Fasset's service requirements.
