January 2015
We, at Fasset, are inspired by the possibilities that 2015 brings. We trust that you are well rested and wish you the very best for this New Year.

The final phase of Fasset's restructuring is the establishment of three new working committees namely, the Employer Working Committee (EWC), the Initial Professional Development Working Committee (IPDWC), and the Learner Interest Working Committee (LIWC). The primary function of the committees will be to make recommendations to the Fasset Board with respect to research, funding options, communications and quality assurance. We are looking forward this engagement with our stakeholders.

Ready for the year ahead, we are excited to continue our journey in skills development and we hope you are too!

Please remember that all important deadline of 15 February 2015 is just around the corner for stakeholders who wish to apply for the various Fasset discretionary grants on offer.

LL calendar of events

Check the updated Fasset Events Calendar to plan your workshop and seminar attendance in 2015.
6
Internship Accreditation

Fasset no longer accredits internships. The purpose of the internship accreditation was to allow organisations to align their practices to the requirements of the Learning Programme Matrix (LPM). The most recent changes to the LPM define internships as, "institution-based theoretical instruction as well as some practical learning with an employer or in a simulated work environment - formally assessed through the institution". As Fasset's internship accreditation process does not fulfil these requirements, it has been discontinued. Internship accreditation applications that were received by 31 October 2014 will be evaluated.
