Be sure to submit your application on time in order to qualify for a 50% refund on your Skills Development Levy (SDL).

Funding Decision 2012/13
The Fasset Board recently held its annual strategic planning session for the period 1 April 2012 to 31 March 2013. Key decisions were made on Fasset's strategic direction for the upcoming financial year. For more information click here.
Bonani work readiness program is now recruiting!
Guarantee Trust, in conjunction with Fasset, is offering a chance for 350 commerce graduates to be on a unique work-readiness program called Bonani, which will ultimately lead to employment. Training is free and an allowance will be received for attendance through the 6 month program that will be starting in July 2012.

Non Levy Payer (NLP) Membership Renewal
The benefits of registering with Fasset as a non-levy-paying member are substantial. Your organisation can benefit from free training seminars, cash grants (when you employ learners on learnerships), access to work-ready graduates and much more. All Non Levy Payer (NLP) employer registrations should be renewed by 30 June each year. We have also created an opportunity for NLPs with more than 50 employees to register with Fasset and complete a more comprehensive training plan and report on training conducted. Complete the application form to ensure you receive all the Fasset benefits.

Deadline Reminder
The deadline for the Mandatory Grant submission is 30 June 2012. Please note that this deadline falls on a Saturday and Fasset will be open from 08h00 - 16h30 to receive submissions.
Grant Support

Budget & Tax Update 2012
Fasset's ever-popular Budget & Tax Update event was held across the country in March 2012. 6503 delegates were trained as compared with 5810 during the 2011 Update.

Global Economic Outlook
Fasset's Global Economic Outlook seminar will be held countrywide in May and June 2012 and will provide an overview of the global and local economic environment. Click here to register.
Fasset invitations
Fasset invitations to the free Lifelong Learning events are sent out via email, and then via fax a week before the commencement of the first event. Please ensure that the emails are not directed to your junk mail folder so that you are able to respond to the invitation timeously and avoid disappointment, by securing your registration early.
Sector Survey
Fasset has developed a labour market analysis and monitoring system that consists of comprehensive sector surveys every five years, the annual analyses of grant applications submitted to us, and various ad hoc research projects. The field research for the third survey will be conducted from April 2012. The 2007 survey can be downloded from the Fasset website.
Fasset Tender Bulletin
Fasset procures a number and variety of services in the course of achieving its objectives. All procurement to a value greater than R50 000 is advertised on our website and we advise prospective service providers to regularly check the Tender Bulletin section for new information relating to Fasset's service requirements.

In order to assist Fasset in giving effect to our Fraud Prevention Plan, we encourage all stakeholders to make use of the Fasset Tip Offs Hotline 0800 205 054 to notify Fasset of any suspected fraudulent activities impacting on Fasset.
