March 2013

Now that the first quarter of 2013 is over, we trust that you are all looking forward to the undoubtedly well-deserved Easter break!

At Fasset, we are as busy as always, finalising year-end targets while at the same time, gearing up for the start of a new financial year. Bearing this in mind, please take note of the new grant application forms in conjunction with Fasset's strategic funding direction.

Wishing you well
The Fasset Communications Team

Funding Regulations and Grant Changes
The funding regulations to the Skills Development Act, 1998 (Act No. 97 of 1998) were promulgated on 3 December 2012. The Fasset Board met to discuss issues relating to the regulations and determine the impact on the current Seta strategy for 2013/2014. A very important change for employers to note is the reduction in the Mandatory Grant disbursement amount from 50% to 20% of the Skills Development Levy (SDL). From 2014 this grant will be due on 30 April. Click here to download the memorandum outlining the changes.

The Mandatory Grant forms for 2013/2014 are now available. Click here to download the application forms.
