Fasset Research Policy

Fasset has developed a Research policy for all stakeholders who would like to request information from Fasset to be used for research purposes. This policy was developed to ensure that all stakeholders understand the process and procedures of Fasset when requesting this information. All stakeholders are encouraged to read through the policy and complete Annexure 1: Research Information Request form before submitting any requests. The Research Policy is available on the Policies page of the About Fasset section of the website.

The Need for Strategic Learnerships

The aims of this study, commissioned by Fasset, were threefold:

1. To conduct a demand analysis to establish the need for learnerships in the sector.
2. To conduct a supply survey in order to establish the nature and magnitude of the current provision of learnerships and to identify education and training programmes that may be converted into learnerships or that may be used in the development of learnerships.
3. To compare demand and supply in order to determine the extent to which supply meets demand, identify areas in which new developments or special support is needed, and identify specific risks related to the development of strategic new learnerships.
