Register as a Non-Levy Payer
Your company may be exempt from paying the Skills Development Levy (SDL) for several reasons, but you can still benefit from free training, cash grants (when you employ learners on learnerships), access to work-ready graduates and much more. All you need to do is renew your registration or register for the first time with Fasset as a Non Levy Payer (NLP). All NLP registrations should be renewed by 30 June each year. Should you not renew your registration annually, your company will be removed from the Fasset database.

| Benefits to Organisations not required to Pay the Levy
|
| |
If employers are not eligible to pay the levy (including public entities, government departments, employees falling below the SDL threshold) they may make use of the following benefits:
- Fasset's role in the development of learnerships
- Fasset's role in the development of skills programmes
- Access to Fasset's discretionary cash grants eg free Lifelong Learning Intervention (LL) and project funds
- ETQA functions
- Accreditation of Constituent Providers
- Quality Promotion

- Assessment and Assessment systems
- Certification
- Learnership Cash Grant (LCG)
