Business Development & Marketing to Power your Business - August to September 2009 |

Fasset’s half day seminar will be held countrywide in August and September 2009 and will provide delegates with the information and tools required to grow their business through the application of marketing techniques and principles of business development.
Course Outline
This seminar is ideal for professionals, business managers and owners of businesses who provide financial, accounting, advisory and management consulting services. The seminar is designed to provide insight into methods and strategies for growing a client base and business revenue.
The topics covered will include, but is not limited to:
Marketing of your business in the context of today’s economy and global change.
Finding your niche – Find and prioritise your ideal product-market segment combination.
’Your business naked’ – Stripping down your business to its bare essentials, what it does and for whom.
’What do you do?’ – How to start the right conversations and end the wrong conversations quickly.
Account management – How to be client-centric and build lasting relationships that bring value to your business.
Training Provider - The Coaching Centre
Brent Combrink is the Chief Operations Officer of The Coaching Centre. He is an executive coach and business mentor and has worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs and professionals in different industries to help them start, grow and successfully exit their businesses. Brent has been a member of Project Management SA since 2000 and has served as a director of Coaches and Mentors of South Africa (Comensa), while chairman of their Western Cape Chapter from 2007 to 2009.
Karen Grant has sixteen years experience in marketing and business development. She has spent the last eight years of her corporate career at Ernst & Young where she account managed key clients. For the last two years she fulfilled the role of training manager for the last 2 years, during which time she developed and trained on account management for the firm nationally. Karen is now a freelance trainer, coach and business writer. She is secretary of the Western Cape CHAPTER of Comensa and has a BComm Honours degree in Strategic Management.
Agenda
The seminar will run from 08h00 to 13h00 and will include Registration (08h00 to 08h30) and a Fasset welcome and briefing (08h30 to 08h50).
Please Note
- It is the role of the Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) to distribute this invitation throughout the organisation.
- Confirmation of registration together with an agenda and a map will be provided per fax or e-mail. If, by chance, you do not receive confirmation, please contact the Call Centre on 086 101 0001 to confirm that you are registered. If you register and are unable to attend, or wish to be replaced by a colleague, please notify the Call Centre immediately to enable Fasset to manage registration numbers.
- Any venue with less than 14 registrations will be cancelled, and delegates notified of a cancellation in writing.
- While every effort is made to pre-plan training workshops, we cannot guarantee to accommodate all delegates at their venue of choice. Delegates are accommodated on a first-come-first-served basis when registering. Where we are unable to accommodate you at your venue of choice, you will be contacted to confirm another acceptable venue.
- Fasset reserves the right to refuse latecomers or delegates who book after the registration deadline.
- Fasset members who pay the Skills Development Levy and who travel over 300kms (roundtrip) to attend a training session will be reimbursed at a rate of R3-28 per kilometre. The travel claim procedure and the requirements for this travel claim are available on our website (Events section).
- Should a delegate choose to attend a training session at a venue not in close proximity to their home, and other adequately located venues have been provided by Fasset, Fasset will not reimburse a travel claim. Claims will only be paid where the closest venues are fully booked and delegates are requested by the Fasset Call Centre to move to another venue. This proof will be kept on file by Fasset and all claims will be verified against this.
