Enhancing Business Writing Skills - September to October 2009
This two day workshop will be held countrywide in September and October 2009 and will provide delegates with the information and tools required to develop their business writing skills. Facilitator presentations will deal with typical problem areas of grammar; i.e. vocabulary, tenses, active and passive voice, as well as introducing delegates to mind-mapping, document planning, drafting and editing.
The learning process is enriched with self-assessments and short assignments during which delegates form small groups to undertake such practical exercises. This interactive approach ensures that delegates return to the office sufficiently equipped to compile professional documents such as letters, e-mails, minutes, reports and proposals.
Click here for date and venue details and to register your attendance on-line. Registration for the first event closes on 11 September 2009, thereafter, 10 working days before the commencement of each workshop. |

Assessor, Moderator and Training Provider Networking Event
In November 2006, the FassetQA department hosted its first networking event for accredited assessors, moderators and training providers entitled “Bridging the Gap”.
The 3 hour workshop boasted two guest speakers, eQuality Solutions Managing Director, Daryl McClain and Assessment College of South Africa, consultant Russel McDiarmid.
McClain addressed the very topical issue: “What makes a provider a Centre of Excellence”, while McDiarmid spoke about “Assessment and moderation:
requirements and best practices”. The ETQA environment is constantly changing, and with change comes a number of challenges that our stakeholders have to face. The topics chosen for this event aimed at
addressing these challenges and the workshop itself allowed for sharing of experiences amongst delegates as well as with Fasset. The
workshop was well received by all delegates and they encouraged Fasset to host the event more frequently as the networking aspect and the knowledge gained
would further contribute to their involvement in ETQA work in the sector.
