Invitation to Quote: Lifelong Learning Event – Global Economic Outlook
Fasset is statutory body established through the Skills Development Act No 97 of 1998, as amended. The goal of the Act in respect of the Fasset Seta is "To influence the effective operation of the labour market, through effective skills development, so as to ensure appropriate supply of competent labour necessary to compete in the global economy" in the sub-sectors that fall with the industrial scope of Fasset i.e. Finance, Accounting, Management Consulting and other Financial Services.
The provision of a training provider to provide a half-day seminar on the Annual Global Economic Outlook, nationally, to members of the Fasset sector during May and June 2012.

Performance Management
Fasset's full day Performance Management seminar will address why superior performance and goal achievement are crucial to organisational and personal success, business sustainability and how to implement and sustain an effective performance management system.
Intended as an intermediate seminar for Skills Development Facilitators (SDFs), Human Resource and Training professionals and owners of SMMEs, the seminar will provide an overview of aspects pertinent to Performance Management.

Invitation to Respond to Government Gazette No. 34932 of 12 January 2012, Government Notice No. R20 The Sector Education and Training Authorities (Setas) Grant Regulations Regarding monies received by a Seta and Related Matters
The Minister of Higher Education and Training, intends to repeal the Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) Grant Regulations regarding monies received by a SETA and related matters; published in Government Notice No. R.713 in Government Gazette No. 27807 of 18 July 2005, as amended by Government Notice No. R88 published in Government Gazette No. 29584 of 2 February 2007.
The public is invited to respond to and comment on the grant regulations. Written responses should reach the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) at the address below not later than 2 February 2012 (21 days from the publication of this notice).

Essential Office Etiquette - February 2012
Fasset invites members to join us for a full day workshop on Office Etiquette, to be held countrywide in February 2012. This workshop will address the relevant principles and practices to master Office Etiquette. New recruits, learners and frontline staff will find this event particularly useful.
The etiquette of business is the set of written and unwritten rules of conduct that makes social interactions run more smoothly. Office Etiquette in particular applies to co-worker interaction and excludes interactions with external contacts such as customers and service providers. Fasset's Office Etiquette workshop aims to create an awareness and understanding of the basics of Office Etiquette, and to equip delegates with proven practical skills and tools to foster a pleasant workplace and a more productive environment.

SDF Alert!
Skills Development Facilitators (SDFs) wishing to register as SDFs and gain access to Fasset’s online system (to capture grant applications online, check grants and levies etc …) must do so in good time before the 30 June deadline for Mandatory Grant submission. Access to the online system can only be processed after a ‘paper-based’ SDF application has been approved and captured by Fasset. Due to the increased activity close to the deadline date, the number of applications received increase, and Fasset may process grant applications up to 10 working days of document receipt.
